Review and Reframing of the specifications for Explosive Trace Detectors and In-Line X-Ray Baggage Inspection System by Technical Specification Committee constituted vide BCAS Office Memorandum No.CAS-25(2)/2006-08/Div.II dated 26/3/2009.

 Dated : 02/04/2009.

This committee is in process of reviewing and reframing the specifications of the following equipments/ systems as per the best world practice available vis-à-vis its applicability in Indian Civil Aviation Security requirement.

(a)   In Line X-Ray Baggage Inspection System – Appendix- “F” Circular No. 25/2004 and Circular No. 09/2006

(b)   Explosive Trace Detector - Appendix -“K” Circular No. 25/2004 and Circular No. 09/2006.

The concerned agencies /Vendors and responsible citizens of the country are requested to forward their views, ideas and comments to this office within two weeks to enable us to reframe the technical specification best suited for our security requirements.
